Danie is a registered EAP with EAPASA and a member of IAIAsa. He holds a BSc (Honours) in Geography (cum laude) and a BSc in Geography, both from the University of Pretoria. He has over 20 years’ experience in the environmental impact assessment field (including undertaking Basic Assessments, Scoping & EIA process as well as Section 24G rectification applications), during which time he has undertaken a wide variety of projects including some of the following:
• Township Establishments
• Resorts/eco-estate developments
• Lodges & other Tourism Facilities
• Bulk Water Supply Projects
• Roads
• Filling Stations
• Telecommunication masts
• Activities relating to clearing of vegetation
Danie also has experience in undertaking Environmental Compliance Monitoring – acting as Environmental Control Officer during the construction and operational phases for various projects – and also in applying for other licence/permit applications including permit applications for cutting/removal of protected trees.
